It would be difficult to stay in Pattaya without experiencing some of the most relentless night-life on the planet. As a friend once said to me, when it comes to nightlife, Pattaya makes Bangkok look like Bridlington (a small, UK seaside town).
In general, the nightlife is dominated by the Bar Scene, with literally thousands of ‘Beer Bars’ and ‘A Gogo Bars’ spread all around the inner area of Pattaya. You’ll find a good selection of these on the famous Walking Street. However, it would be a mistake to think that this is the limit of Pattaya’s night-time attractions.
You’ll find Restaurants with everything from expensive European or Thai fine-dining to cheap and cheerful, quality food ‘like mother used to make’ – and it doesn’t matter whether you’re English, American, Dutch, French, German, Norwegian or almost any other nationality – you’ll find ‘mother’ taught them everything they need to know about your nationality’s cuisine.
After dinner, choose from Ten Pin Bowling, Cinemas (showing all the latest films in English), the famous lady-boy Cabaret Shows, the ubiquitous Irish Pubs, Night Safaris, Night Diving, Traditional Thai Cultural Shows, Thai Massage – by the time you get back I’m sure you’ll be telling me many things I’ve missed off the list!
